Yi

I had 3 days before my meeting starts and me and a friend hired a local guide and driver to guide us through Beijing.

Today we started our tour and visited Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park and the Lama Temple. We also visited the old Hutong area, climbed the drum tower, had a rickshaw ride and had lunch with a local family - a very busy day. It was also very hot 38C (100F) and the air was very bad!

This was taken at the Forbidden City and the nice man was visiting Beijing. He is from an ethnic minority group in China - Yi people and he kindly allowed me to take his photograph.
