Works Being Undertaken

Work has started on resurfacing our local road, using a process called 'surface dressing'.

Currently there are loose stone chippings on the road, until the new surface beds down into the bitumen emulsion coating. Apparently the road surface will be like this for about a week, at which point any chippings that have not embedded, will be swept up and the road markings will be added.

At least this has reduced the speed of some cars!
