I avoided the obvious World Cup thing and went for a walk at 9pm. I'm suppose to be a football fan but the lure of playing with my 50mm Prime lens was too much.

I should be excited about the World Cup, but for some reason I'm not. FIFA is a corrupt organisation that treats the tournament as it's own cash cow and it's not been any different since the military tournament of 1978. Idiot rags like The Sun use it as a tool to peddle their nasty and cheap philosophies under the guise of patriotism. I hope I'll get Brazil 14 fever, but as a die hard football fan for some reason I'm just not set alight by displays of opulence and granduer in a country where most kids don't have shoes on their feet. The world priorities are fucked and no matter how beautiful the game of football is, it can't mask the grotesque spectacle the World Cup has become.
