Are our "fans" REALLY so thick?

That they need to be told it's THEIR own flag???
Do they REALLY think it's "In Goo Land"?

I could understand if it said something like

انجلترا
Англия
İngiltere
ענגלאַנד
on the grounds that there MAY, JUST, conceivably, be an inhabitant in some "corner of a foreign field" who doesn't recognise the flag.
But .. Come ON??? England? I ask you.
