Elephant Circle

What a nice surprise. I got my Cross pen back from the service center. I almost forgot that i sent if for servicing since it's mechanism to bring the lead in and out of the pen was not working (again!)

I woke up with a bad start today. All the jobs that i submitted days ago maxed out their walltime before they can even finish their computations. It used to only run them in half a day or less than a day using the serial version. I guess i have not fully grasped the idea of parallel programming. Back to the drawing board.

I played ukulele at Jephsons Garden later this evening. I cant play my new uku, or any instrument for that matter, at the flat. I suck so bad that me playing music bothers people more than being entertained by it LOL. Oh my gosh, i can just imagine how patient my mom was with me back home. When i ask her if i can play the violin, she always says yes to me. Eventhough i know that 99% of the time i am just making noise. Miss my mommy!!!!!

The photo in front of you is taken from Jephsons Garden near River Leam. It is a sculpture of 3 elephants arranged in a circle with a child riding one of them (sorry for not including the whole sculpture in the photo!). I just knew that it was originally placed outside the northern entrance to the Royal Priors Shopping complex but was moved inside the gardens in 2008 (for reasons i have not known from the article i read!). This was in commemoration to the 3 elephants brought by a Leamington Spa resident named Samuel Lockhart. Lockhart was an elephant trainer who went to Ceylon and brough the elephants back. He named them Hadie, Trilby and Philomina, aka the Three Graces.
