Waiting for the ferry

We were going to catch the 12.0 clock from Portsmouth to Le Havre it was cancelled. We were transferred to the 2.35 from Portsmouth to Caen it was delayed due to industrial action and we eventually left at 7.0 pm which meNt arriving at Caen at around 2.0 am. Stayed at the Ibis where we had very comfy beds and woke at 9.45 just in time for breakfast.Were we bothered, not really, we were entertained by the sometime 70 year old vehicles coming back from the D Day celebrations and I suppose, realising how lucky we are.
