Hill Top Ramblings

Wildlife paradise

A grand walk this afternoon with the dogs.
We went to carry out our butterfly and bumblebee count.
The sun came out, the butterflies came out, the bees came out.

Still plenty of orchids in flower, including common spotted, northern marsh and greater butterfly.

The only other person we met was a photographer with a long lens, who had squashed the vegetation rather in his enthusiasm to get a shot.
Personally, I favour the outstretched arm with mobile phone type photo, which are good enough for me and do rather less damage.

Photography is the new egg collecting for some people I think!
