Apologies to Ella Fitzgerald.
Phew what a scorcher!! We were up and out early checking whether a disputed boulder burial was or wasn't (wasn't) and investigating a stone anomaly (which was). All interesting and involving some truly spectacular landscape with sweeping moorland, long headlands, blue blue sea and bog. I was wearing sandals. We stopped off on the way home to try out a new cafe in Kilcrohane which has emerged phoenix-like from the old Creamery. An excellent addition to the village.
I have then come clean and registered as a company for book purposes. I shall be trading under the name of WildWays Press! That was quite complicated and nerve-wracking but I think I've done it.
I then headed into Bantry for an early supper with some friends and the youth of Bantry were out in force enjoying the balmy evening - trousers getting lower, shirts coming off, shoes kicked aside, shorts rather short and quite a lot of very white flesh. It's exam time here and the weather is always mercilessly good.
