Avalanche Escapee with Storm Clouds Building.

Look, I am still standing and getting taller while you shrink!

Every spring I expect this tree to have been pushed over by an avalanche, and every spring it stands taller, defying the elements. None of the other trees on either side of it have survived. It seems to get skinnier too but maybe that is why the avalanches pass it by, it has little resistence. I have often taken photos of it but never blipped them and it was almost pipped at the post again by this Marbled White Butterfly posing perfectly. The lonesome pine has its blip day.
