Spider Flower

Spent ages scouring the garden centre for a plant for my friend, to say thank you for looking after Toffee while I was up in Rugby. I wanted to find something a bit different and when I spotted this 'Spider Flower', the deed was done!

I was struck by both the colour, and the name, though I wasn't really sure why it was called a Spider Flower, until I went to take this shot from above, and then the reason for the name became very apparent!!

The plant was very well received by my friend, and it even came with a free Money Spider dangling between the flower heads! A true Spider Flower!!
