Cathedral, church, museum? Well actually this is a figure over the doors of the main Post Office in Blackpool. Blackpool's town motto is 'Progress', which often in the past has meant knock down the old grand looking buildings and put up concrete carbuncles as someone once said. The Post Office survives although only as a collecting office, if you want a Post Office you need W H Smiths. One of the other rather grand buildings in Blackpool is the Town Hall which is where in three months Carrie and I will be getting married. Will have to try and blip some photos of the Town Hall.
