Bristol in the sun

I gave a talk for the HEA Academy today for their Teaching Ethics summit. It was about digital scholarship/open practice and the issues this raises ethically. It was an interesting way to think of it, as I don't usually approach the topic from an ethics perspective. For instance, to what extent should we force students to operate in the open; is it ethical not to expose your students to the best teaching content out there; what do we do if predictive analytics tell us someone is likely to fail but they want to carry on; what are the ethics of not developing these types of skills and awareness in our students.
It was at the Grand Hotel in Bristol, and it was a lovely sunny day to be picking at thorny ethical issues.
