What on Earth is this.

I took this last night, but didn't upload it to this morning. Sunset but the clouds were playing tricks. This was getting very late at night and when I saw it I thought it was a Euphorical Vision from the heavens. Why a figure of eight? I have not seen anything to explain it. If anybody out there can shed some light on it, it would be appreciated! It did make a nice sunset all the same!
