goose

i'm not very inventive with these titles am i? I'll try harder next time. maybe.

The geese on the towpath are usually far more aggressive, but today they flocked around me rather than standing there hissing until i leave (they don't seem to realise i'm just cycling past!). I don't know why the change of heart. Could be I wasn't on my bike? Could be they wanted to be on blipfoto? Could be they could smell the bird seed in my bag? (I was mean and took it all home for the garden birds). I suspect it was mostly that the towpath was more like a toboggan run than a path - compacted snow all along - and these fellas were finding hard to find food and someone had recently been there with bread... :-)

near here is an igloo of sorts with crawl spaces about goose size. i wonder if they sleep in it at night...
