Ding, dong the witch is dead!

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, written by Frank Baum in 1900 has been reprinted several times. It has also been performed on stage, the first time on Broadway in 1902 and made into a film in 1939, with Judy Garland. The performance has never lost its appeal, performed again on stage in 2011 at the London Palladium.
