Half a hill
The proper name for this hill is Ben Tianavaig but it is also known as half a hill because of the way the hill drops away steeply towards the sea. You do not really get the true steepness of the hill from the angle of this photo as the sheerest part is at the back facing towards the island of Raasay.
Knew exactly the blip I wanted tonight so hubby and I set off with the dog through fields to the vantage point I wanted. We did n't realise when we set off through the first field that there were cows in there with calves and they rather took exception to our presence. We had to make a very rapid exist through the nearest gate as the cows seemed intent on trying to toss our dog around like a ball.
Lesson learnt though and we will be much more careful next time.
A high note of the walk was seeing a Sea Eagle souring up in the sky, although I did manage to get a picture of it, it was really too far away to get a decent blip
