Brilliant but bonkers!
Myself and my lovely colleague Mitch were invited to a pop up photo exhibition this evening at the Shipley Pride pub where we met the very characterful Suggy (Simon Paul Sugden) and the fascinating Trevor Rushworth who were both displaying their photos. Suggy does amazing photography of derelict buildings and is currently working on a project on the thousands of feet of underground tunnels on 3 floors under Bradford city centre and Trevor had amazing photos and stories of lovely Yorkshire.
Suggy told us his stories of 'happenings' he'd experienced whilst in derelict hospitals etc and Trevor told me of the Alien photo on Ilkley Moor - WHAT! ……. these guys had my chin on the floor! Alien!!!
Both wonderful guys and it was such a pleasure to meet them, view their photos and hear their stories - inspiring if bonkers! I hope to go with Suggy to a derelict building soon to take some pics… though I may have second thoughts after his stories!
On the way home the setting sun was quite stunning, I had to ask Mitch to stop the car and drop me off to take some pics and walk home. This is the view of 2 of my favourite chimneys, (one of them being Damart) the Millennium Bridge and the spire of the Methodist church - apologies for the not great quality - iPhone and all that! :))
