Eldest: Mum, I've found a hole in the hedge. Can I crawl through and get our ball?

Me: Hmmm, you want to crawl through the hedge into the garden of our neighbours, who own goodness knows how many Shar Pei, otherwise known as Chinese fighting dogs?

Eldest: Yeah...erm...okay.

In other news, we all spent the evening at the Beavers & Cubs Family BBQ. I had fun joining in with the ball games, the parachute game and the singing. Hubby joined in with the...erm...chatting.
