Killed the cat (nearly)!!

Lots going on down our lane today:

1. A satnav directed a very, very large lorry down our lane, about three turnings too early!! The lorry came all the way from Poland, and the driver was on his first journey with the vehicle to the UK. There was only one place for him to try to turn round which he attempted but dropped the back of the lorry into Kai and Jeff's field (blip of yesterday) so the road was blocked for some considerable time. As I had to head off to work I am not sure how the lorry eventually got away, but by 6pm when I got home there was only a large hole in the hedge to show where he had got stuck!!

2. I nearly stepped on friend's cat whilst I was taking photos of Poppies, Peonies, Roses and all the other lovely flowers in her garden. Thereafter, Cat watched my every move from a safe distance!!

3. I heard a Cuckoo, the first ever here in 13 years. Maybe the Cuckoo followed me down from Scotland where we heard many.
