full of encouraging slogans and back-patting and more than 100 colleagues in the room. One very interesting session by Tammy Erickson, an American guru on making better business environments. She spoke at (interesting) length about Generational Linking, how the Boomers, Xs and Ys compare and contrast. My favourite line was "Retire retirement" - I've had a few rude questions about when I would retire now I'm 60: I've crafted a generic "I'm having too much fun to retire!"

But, as enthralled as I was, I didn't mind having to leave early to guide our Canadian top-bod on the Tube to her next meeting as all the taxi drivers were out on strike!!
