The old ford at Adlington.

This is the site of an old ford crossing of the River Severn. The picture is taken towards the city of Gloucester where the first bridge over the River Severn was sited until construction of the two Severn bridges. We had a wonderful lunch at The Old Passage Inn , to celebrate 31 years of marriage. The Inn is only a few yard from the river bank and where the old ford crossing would have been. It is such a quiet and peaceful location, and was ideal for a very lazy lunch of the most wonderful fish.
