All Done!! *****************!!
Yes! It was as I hoped and sincerely expected. A battalion of 5 doctors and an army of medical students peering into the eye could NOT find the cancer that had been measured and photographed two months ago in North Carolina at my ocular oncologist's office.
During that time I directly aimed strong prayers for the doctors not to discover any cancer. As each doctor examine the eye and then left the room shaking his/her head, I smiled triumphantly at Ellen, friend and traveling caregiver.
Finally the verdict was given to us by the oldest doctor and head of the clinic. "There may be some line there from the lens you had put on with cataract replacement, but there is no cancer. Any surgery would just ruin a good eye."
"YEA!!!!" Relief & happiness.
This blip is outside the entry to the Wills as we waited for a shuttle that never came. We walked several blocks; stopped for a cold drink and cookies; then caught the suburbans train back to the Hope Lodge.
We had no idea how practical and fast the train is. $1 for senior citizens. The regular price is $7.50 one way. When I return for a follow up visit in 6 months in the snow & cold we will take the train in and out of downtown. Two bucks-- what a deal!
That is Ellen reluctantly posing because she did not feel beautiful just then!
