Doing the Tourist thing
We've had distant family over from Canadia (thanks Stewart Francis) for a few days. I'm happy to play tour guide - I love where I live and they were great company - but I drew the line at Beatrix Potter - Cat kindly stepped up. Gave me the chance to wander up to Moss Eccles Tarn and Wise Een Tarn - surely one of the most scenic short walks you can do in the Lakes. I took Pushka with me & she was happy for a swim - there and back in a little over an hour from Hill Top - and not a talking rabbit in sight.
Whilst I got some lovely shots of the Tarns - on looking back over the days pictures I was struck how despite living in the Lakes I rarely Blip or even use them - I'm a hills & crags kinda guy really (though my young friend Beth has promised to get me through my kayaking quals soon!) - this shot was taken from the car ferry - the Canadians (they're city folk) loved it, though they also loved the Beatrix Potter stuff too so can't fully be trusted.
