Deep in conversation

Spent most of the day chez our son, in their new flat. He's recovering well and enjoyed some lovely conversations with their niece, who visited while we were there. And I enjoyed seeing her, too (she was only a baby the last time we met, at our son's wedding), and meeting her baby sister, too. Fun fun fun!

Their new rented flat is super. The balcony overlooks a large shared garden area. Way across on the other side of the complex, and its being a hot day, perfect for sunbathing, we watched the balcony antics of their very own neighbourhood 'ugly naked guy'! (If you don't get the reference, you never watched Friends!)

So good to see our son looking better and far less swollen than any of us expected. He also consistently thrashed me at Backgammon, and both of us at Scrabble. So we assume the anaesthetic hasn't messed with his head! ;-)
