This One Almost Got Away

I photographed this family bible in the Wise Guys thrift store on Saturday, but blipped something else, thinking I'd go back and blip it later.

After my pétanque game this morning I drove by the thrift store and was lucky enough to find parking a couple of doors away. When I walked inside, the bible wasn't where I'd seen it , and the volunteer worker I asked didn't know anything about it. Another worker told me that someone had put down a deposit on it, but hadn't picked it up yet. She was quite happy to bring it out for me to photograph.

I had just taken one shot when the buyer came in to collect his purchase. He graciously told me to take more photos if I wanted to. I took just one more as insurance.
