Menacing.......

..........is the only word I can think of for these cows.   We were walking uphill on a right of way and had to go through their field.  We gave them a very wide berth as they had young, and all was fine until we got about half way over, when all of a sudden they started stampeding towards us.

Being the club wimp, I was off and up to the gate before you could say 'mad cow'......some were not so lucky and ended up in the middle of them.  However, everyone got through and this picture is taken from the other side of the gate, as they stood staring at us and bellowing.  

Walking is a great pastime.......

We started our walk, which was on the Caterin Trail near Blairgowrie, in beautiful sunshine.  Then we got absolutely soaked by a deluge, which lasted a while.  Then the sun came out and we got dry and took off all our waterproof gear, only to have to put it all on again as we had thunder and lightning and very heavy rain again.

We enjoyed a great meal at the Angus Hotel in Blairgowrie before coming home..... and we all said it was a great day out......
