That Denise Girl

Quite a day indeed.

Up early to discover that we had no water, so a phone call to Scottish water and the instruction to wait an hour and a half and call back to see if they had an engineer out by then, as not enough people had called yet to make it a priority.

Nope, not happening, so I went to the gym mainly to use their showers, but also to try out my heart rate monitor. The heart rate monitor was fun, it's definitely a motivator to see how you're doing as you go along. Showered and then got ready to head home again, at that point the gym's water went off, so I was fairly pleased with my excellent timing.

Home and the water was back on, and then out again to Spoon Blook Club where only two of us had remembered, but we had a good chat about the book anyway - Everyday Sexism by Laura Bates, and we enjoyed waffles with maple syrup and bacon too.

A stroll home in the sunshine, and then I sat out on the roof terrace for the first proper time this year and downloaded the book for the next Blook Club which is The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.

All in all it was one of those bitty days with lots of little things to do, that seem to make your day fly by and then suddenly it's bedtime!
