It's a grind

Marking. It follows a path for me. Before I start I spend time trying to understand what I'm looking for and what constitutes a "good" answer. The first few scripts take forever with lots of doubling back to recheck earlier scripts as I become more familiar with the marking rubric. And then they roll through quickly - I've got my eye in. Today I've reached the final stage which is great but the weather has proved to be a big distraction and I have spent time sitting in the garden with a book. Still on track to finish on time though so all is well.

The image is mustard seeds and chilli flakes in the mortar being ground before going onto chicken drumsticks. They were lovely with freshly made potato salad and a green salad.
