Is this a broken birch twig I see before me?
I'm back to my moth trapping in my tiny garden now. Last night's catch was quite good - around 40 moths with 25 different species, and 12 of these new to the garden (though I've only trapped about eight times so far). This is the amazing Buff-tip, Phalera bucephala, one of the great camouflage experts. In this photo you can just see some legs, but otherwise it is difficult to see this as a moth.
