A Grotty day

Today is the first day that we haven't woken to blue skies and sunshine. In fact it stayed gray and dull for most of the day.

We left our campsite for the past two days and headed for some Grottos nearby. Unfortunately they were closed so we wasted a lot of time navigating through narrow lanes to no avail.

We were heading for Bagnerres de Bigorre and on the way we passed a signpost to some more Grottos - Grottes de Bétharram.

We decided to give them a go and were absolutely blown away by the experience. It was so good and photos just do not do it justice. As flash and tripods were Interdit a very high ISO was needed. The extent of these caves has to be seen to believed. We were there nearly two hours.
