FFI reenactors and their vehicles, Utah Beach
FFI and FFL
These stand for Forces Françaises de l'Intérieur and Forces Françaises Libres respectively. The former was a coalition of the main resistance groups in France, formed a few months before D-Day; the latter were the military forces under the leadership of de Gaulle.
This photo was taken behind the dunes of Utah Beach at Saint Martin de Varreville, at the spot where General Leclerc's Second Armoured Division landed on 1st August 1944; they were tasked with the liberation of Paris.
A suitable spot to have found these reenactors.
This is a back-blip.
