Keeping Cool and (En)lightening under the Oaktree

Over the Southern hill forest dark clouds are nearing. I think that we will have rain, storm and thunder later this evening. I hope we will be spared for a severe damage we have seen yesterday in the Ruhr-Region. But all this is unpredictable. We can only remove the terrace furniture, be prepared and pray...for refreshing water without too much fire...and blasting winds. As you can see on todays photo, for those who wanted to keep cool, inside or in the natural shadows of the big trees it was pleasant to stay, to stay calm and clear. Even in the beginning of the evening.

The heavy part of the maintenance work has been done this morning. Until the sun heat became too strong. Things like roof- and gutter-cleaning, carrying the last loads of dead leaves up like Sisyphos. As swines and other nightly visitors are rumbling down again the heaps of leaves...It keeps our humble work in service of our sacred trees going on as a ritual, never ending. Maybe here is a resemblance to our Blipwork, when you think to have accomplished it, the next day you have to start it all over again. But that’s sporting life, isn’t it? You can’t say, hey, I’ve had those teeth brushed yesterday two times, let’s skip that for today. Or breakfast, or that kiss…

There are ways to break the chains of negative infinity. Orpheus descended into Hell in search for Euridice and made Sisyphos interrupt his endless stone lifting and sit down on his rock. Orpheus broke the Laws of the Hades by singing his song of Love and Inspiration. So that eternal story may give us a hint for what art and creative living is asking from us. To find your own and unique way of initiating and accomplishing “the impossible”. To take the courage to descend into “Hell”, that Abyss of Negativity, and bring in there your sparkling light of compassionate love and faith, and thus break the compelling framework of Negativity.

Thus bringing in into the historical world a new vision, a newborn time and space of enduring, sustainable freedom. In stead of being afraid of loosing material goods - heavy weather damage…- to practice that faithful courage not to avoid but to explore the depth your soul. And hum, just hum a little song about sadness over loss and bittersweet joy sparkling from the depth of your dark and (en)lightening inner being. We can all do this in our own way, just keeping cool and enlightening where ever we happen to be.
