100 Years On

I saw the council gardeners digging and planting something along Grace Way near us last year. They dug the area with a rotavator and just left it rough. I thought at the time it was a little odd, but didn't think much more of it. It turns out that these banks of bright, red poppies have been planted at various locations in the town to commemorate 100 years since the start of the 1st World War. A very noble gesture and a treat to see.

The lost generation. We will remember them.
