The Silo Stay in the Rain, Little River

I had a meeting in Little River this evening, so –thanks to a welcome a break in the weather– I decided the capture the Silo Stay at night.

This, believe it or not, is not a place for stock feed, but instead accommodation for visitors to Banks Peninsula. It's an interesting concept, locally designed and built, and one that as you can imagine has polarised the community.

Personally I find it quite intriguing, beautiful even. Mrs H has done a tour of the silos, and she gave it the thumbs up. Certainly no expense has been spared, and you can't knock the originality and craftsmanship. And it if gives Little River and Banks Peninsula a point of difference and attracts some new visitors, then that is a Very Good Thing.
