Mercer Slough

It's hard to believe, when you are walking in the Mercer Slough, that you are in the heart of the city. The Slough occurred when the Locks connected Lake Washington to the Puget Sound and the water level fell in Lake Washington. It created this lovely park with a blueberry farm, places to paddle and lots of trails to walk in.

We are in training mode now for our England Coast-to-Coast walk in July and we logged 12 miles today. Mercer Slough was our destination.
