Wild Orchids

Is it an Early Purple Spotted or a Northern Marsh orchid? Anyone any idea? There are lots of them springing up all over just now, our neighbour has been riding his lawn mower up and down his grass, carefully driving round each tiny plant!

The hottest day of the year so far - 19 deg C it said on the car's display as I drove into Kirkwall to sit in a meeting! Still, we'd had breakfast outside, a walk in the sunshine and time for a bit of gardening in the morning beforehand and it was still sunny when I got home.

Further investigation proves it to be a Northern Marsh Orchid - thanks all!
