Disconnections
This picture of the MRC-LMB building, still one of my favourite modern buildings, has practically nothing to do with today.
Actually, the walk in the evening light to take it was the antidote to several hours on the A14 - hopefully that last trip to the Coventry house to clear out the last of our unsold possessions and to check on something the surveyor described as "dangerous electrics".
Now, far be it from me to criticise another profession, but disconnected wires in the loft would seem quite likely to be just that; disconnected. Perhaps a closer inspection or trivial electrical test might be warranted before alarming the clients? The undisturbed dust in the loft would suggest not.
The irony is that it was probably the same surveyor that failed to identify, for us, three years ago, that the cabling to the shower was way under spec and a fire risk. Indeed, a bit black at one end.
Which is exactly why these wires were disconnected.
