Meadows Festival - Stone Carving

K & I popped into Edinburgh for a wander in the sunshine round the Meadows Festival. The Meadows was still a little muddy from the rain the days before but on Sunday the sun was shining & people were out in force creating a good atmosphere & enjoying the sunshine while it lasted.

I love this pic from one of the interactive stalls letting you try the ancient art of stone carving. My star sign is Taurus & I was born in the Chinese year of the Ox (& I'm super stubborn!) so this carving in particular caught my eye. I didn't have a go but the kids & adults that were seemed to be having a lot of fun, but I have a feeling they need a bit more practice until they get to the level of the instructor :)

I was hoping to go down the Grassmarket to watch Grease in the large cinema screen but K & I had an extra long early dinner instead :)
