Ouch!

This is Beck who is 13 months old and has been walking for 3 weeks and is now very bruised.

When we had our barbecue yesterday we opened the sliding doors onto the garden, and unfortunately he fell trying to get over the step before anyone could catch him. Yesterday it was a bit bloodied and red, but today he has a whopper of a bruise. Thankfully it hasn't knocked his smile off.

We went into Stratford and had a really nice Italian lunch, followed by a very long time in what has got to be the best children's playground I've ever seen.

Amongst other things, there was a brilliant contraption where you climbed up a ramp, sat on a thing like a button lift attached to an overhead cable, and then travelled at great speed until the wire hit a buffer and sends the rider back in the other direction.

We had a competition to see who could travel back the furthest and it was a draw between Kai and Granddad, with Mum and Dad coming in second and third.

We then spotted the sign on our way out "Children under 14 only".

Oh well, they're all kids at heart.
