Hope

I'm away for work overnight this evening. I'm part of a policy committee and we're having an away day. It started at lunchtime, has an overnight stay in Inverkeithing and finishes at lunch tomorrow.

I decided not to go into work first thing, instead opting for a little Wes time and a morning run. I do hate leaving Wes overnight, I totally get separation anxiety every time!

My run was better than Saturday, but my foot is still tense and sore afterwards. But I was left with a sense of (completely irrational) hope that I'll still be able to run the half marathon on 29 June. We'll see!

I've blipped this rose garden before, but we all know what a huge fan of roses I am and it did look spectacular in the morning sun.

In other news, the room I'm staying in this evening is bigger than my entire flat. I'm not sure what to do with all this space!
