J on the hill

While on my walk up Traprain Law I met J who was running up and down the steep 221 metre high hill trying to get fit. I spoke with him as we were admiring the view and the Exmoor ponies who are also in the shot.
He is a New Zealander who is taking his motor bike to start out on a trip from Scotland across Europe, through Turkey, Azerbajan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. I'm not sure where thereafter. He mentioned "doing all the Stans" so I presume Kazakhstan also Kyrgyzstan.
Oh, to be young and fit!

The people you meet on a little hill in nowhere in particular. Ask and stories emerge.
Perhaps a little more talking to strangers is a good thing.
