Cats Eye

In the 70s when I was a kid I had a a bag full of these marbles including my favourites - bronzes and steelies.

My friend Tony had a huge steely that I was envy of.

I lived in Auckland and the whole school would play marbles at playtime and lunch time.

Then the Wombles were the latest craze and we forgot about marbles.

I had a Plaster of Paris Orinoco mould which I made and painted by hand.

Ahh the memories are flooding back.
