Lupines at Sugar Hill
Every year in the month of June, Sugar Hill and surrounding towns have a "Lupine Festival". It usually runs from June 1st on. People come from all over to admire the thousands of colorful lupines that adorn the fields and roadside, in this picturesque area. Every weekend in June they have craft fairs and bake sales to attract more people to the area.
We took a ride today to see if the flowers were blooming yet. I was surprised that many of the places that normally are getting full blooms were hardly up, out of the ground. We did find this spot that were more advanced than the rest of the town. I think the very cold winter held everything back. I'm guessing it will take a week or more, to really enjoy all that it has to offer in Sugar Hill.
Regardless, it is still a very beautiful place to visit!
