In Bloom

Went to the In Bloom event at Walmer Castle this morning. All the seats were set up but I was to early for the band!

Listened to the Kitchen Garden talk and bought some herbs - lovely way to spend the morning!

Picked a load of strawberries and have had a go at some jam - looks like it should be OK but may be a bit of a soft set.

My neighbour gave me some tomato plants, so planted those out as well as the mint I bought this morning. Finished off my book (Plenty by Rachel Joyce - highly recommended), did the tiniest bit of gardening, and am now waiting for the chicken to cook for my dinner!

A good day, though I have sunburn and smashed my phone screen. But I'm not going to sweat the small stuff!!
