A leg stretch
Last night we got unpacked from our holiday, washing on, and S and I cooked the scallops the cottage owner had provided. Freshly dived for the night before we left, they were good-sized ones, a great bargain at £11. We tore up a Ciabatta, drizzled it with oil and toasted it in the oven, while crisping up some black puddings before quickly cooking the scallops and arranging it all on a bed of leaves. I'm not a seafood fan but I could tell it went down well, a suitable finale foot the trip.
Today our friends left after breakfast, so we were able to get organised to be out in good time for our monthly walk with local friends. The rain stayed away, so we had a pleasant 7 mile walk along Happy Valley, up the hill to St Cuthbert's Way, and back to Wooler for a quick half of Bombadier.
In the blip Mr C and Ray are powering up the hill. Hedgehope is the big hill in the distance.
