BLITZ

Hard to pick an image from the spectacular Great Tapestry of Scotland, but in the end it had to be this panel on the Clydebank Blitz. My parents and my oldest brother and sister were among the 48,000 made homeless by this two night raid when their house in Albert Road took a direct hit. My Dad was out and about putting out fires and attempting to rescue people from burning buildings. I often asked him to tell me about it, but he never would - I think that tells it's own story.
