Abstract Expressionist Lego.

O spends a lot of time coming up with variants of his Lego figures and vehicles. I'm really heartened by this, as I'd thought that the level of sophistication current models are spec'ed with might dissuade him from being his own inventor. Not a bit of it.

He also takes great care when laying them out. It's not that they have to be in lines, or scaled groups etc. Its simply the way he wants them.

This example made me think of abstract expressionist paintings, such as those by Kandinsky. If you screw your eyes up and look at it, there's a balance that exists between the colours.

I realise I may be reading too much into this!
