Frustration!
Today's blip starts last night....during our usual venture round the garden (slug watch, water check, dead heading etc) Mr A spotted a bee, half drowned in a puddle.
Bee rescue ensued....it was initially placed on a flower in the sunshine to dry off, but it was so sodden that it just wasn't happening.
Mr A suggested using my hair dryer to dry it off but I talked him out of that and said to let nature take it's course.
He wasn't content with that, so the bee was brought into the conservatory for the night....along with another soggy bee he found on another plant.
He left them with a bit of honey (that's what they eat) to help boost their energy levels and we settled down for the evening.
Our movie (the Lego movie) was interrupted by the most amazing thunderstorm; we watched it for a while...the lightening was amazing!
This morning, I woke early...just as Mr A was getting back into bed. He'd been to check on the bees and one of them was happily buzzing round the conservatory so he let it out. The other still looked worse for wear so he put it on the patio table outside.
When I got up a couple of hours later, it had gone.
What I did find though was a whole load of pigeons fighting for scraps from the seed feeder. I only put this up yesterday as I'm fed up with the pigeons eating all the food off the bird table.
One of the squirrels was also lurking; trying to work out how to get the the feeder. Not a bad attempt!
It must be frustrating being able to see and smell food, but not get to it...more so when the little birds are happily hopping on and off with their beaks full.
So today's blip is a collage; starting with Mr A's bee rescue, the squirrel plotting and the birds feeding.
