Busy day today! First day of summer vacation and we are putting plans into place!

We went downtown for dinner and I brought the camera to get some nice downtown shots. But who I got home, they just weren't right. So I set out for another.

I love this one. I like the textures in the old green vase (I think it was originally a cookie jar) and in the lace curtain and in the shadows in the sunlight backlighting the sunflower. The original picture is nice, but when I cropped it to remove a distracting red flower, the textures just popped out. I think it is amazing how a picture can change depending on the composition.
