Winter walk

Having walked to work yesterday I walked into town today, to collect my train tickets for monday.

The snow is still lying thick on the ground, not even pretending to thaw or turn to ice or slush, so as you can see, it's worth looking at.

There's a footpath that used to be a railway track that is now a route into town from where I live and this tree is along that track. I was caught by the way the snow outlines everything.

I love the light in winter. I love the clarity of the air that makes days seem brighter. Taking pictures even at subzero tempuratures is not hard for me!
